Trinidad and Tobago Part 2

We are currently in Scarborough, Tobago, having had a day’s sail from Trinidad on 27th. The journey was a little rough for a while and many of us new crew members felt seasick! Our vision for this port is that the youth will be more aware of their identity as sons and daughters of God. We have held a few youth conferences both weekends here.

I am working in the galley (kitchens), which is good fun. Shifts vary between 6am-2pm and 1-8pm. My shift leader Alex is from Uruguay, then there’s Deltha from Mexico, Leinubia from Brasil, Virginia from S. Africa and myself. We also have local volunteers join us from time to time. Every morning the whole ships company has devotions at 7.45am and then department devotions until 9am. I have also been involved in the official opening in Tobago where I dressed in Welsh national dress and welcomed people and also on the 3rd at a formal dinner onboard.

This weekend I went on a prison ministries team where we did a drama and I shared a challenge with the prisoners. Today half the ships company went snorkelling at the reef :0)
